Serenbe Designer Showhouse
Showhouses are often a place for grand, untouchable design, but I wanted this upstairs landing at the Serenbe Showhouse to feel like a breath of fresh air. At the time, I was coming off two back-to-back pregnancies, and that season of life made me realize how essential these in-between spaces are for a busy family. We really leaned into the Serenbe look here, taking cues from the architecture to create a crisp black and white foundation. I craved an area that was cheerful and spirited yet organized and relatively neutral.

We drew inspiration directly from the home's architecture, embracing a high-contrast black and white palette that feels quintessentially Serenbe. By using these crisp tones as our base, we were able to maintain continuity with the public spaces downstairs while allowing the textures and patterns of the landing to feel fresh and distinct.

Upstairs landings can often feel like an afterthought, but we saw this as an opportunity to create a high-functioning destination. By designing a custom inset sofa nestled within built-in shelving, we turned a tricky transition area into a cozy nook for reading or quiet play. We lined the back of the nook with a soft ombre wallpaper, adding a layer of depth and modern movement that serves as a sophisticated frame for this hardworking little sanctuary.
